Before you raise your marketing budget again, read this. Marketing gets people to your door. Your website and product help them decide whether to trust you. A prospect clicks your ad, lands on your site, and gives you a few seconds to understand what you do. If they hesitate, even for a moment, because your site feels outdated or unclear, you may lose the chance to earn their trust. Winning them back gets much harder once that doubt sets in. As Jeff Bezos put it: “Your brand is what people say about you when you’re not in the room.” Every touchpoint shapes that impression: the website, the first product experience, the follow-up. Each one can build confidence or create doubt. More traffic into a leaky funnel is just a more expensive leak. Before scaling the top, make sure the rest of the journey reflects the business you’ve built. We recently did a refresh for a B2B product built for law firms. Same traffic. Better first impression at every step. If your business has grown but your website / product hasn’t caught up, it may be time to rethink what it’s communicating.
